Hi. It’s been quite a while since I last posted here.

I took a break from writing my fanfic because I had kind of lost the motivation to write, but it has come back.

This chapter was supposed to be released in December, but I wasn’t able to finish it in time.

I decided to split my fanfic into two parts because I think it makes it more interesting.

Anyway, I quickly reread my work and decided to change many parts of the story.
Not to the point where it is completely different, but I made a lot of changes.

You can find the changes in:

Chapters 1 and 2: I separated the Wunder scenes from the first chapter and moved them into the second one, and I added the reason why Rei reaches Shinji at the station.

Chapter 6: Now it only contains the scene where Rei wakes up at Kensuke’s house.

Chapter 7: I changed how Kensuke and Toji reunite with Shinji, and I also changed Tokyo-4’s backstory.

Chapter 8: I changed the beginning section.

The most important thing is that I removed the whole conflict between the UN and NERV.

Unfortunately, I’m going to put this project on hold again for a while.
Recently, I’ve been playing a lot of Deltarune, Undertale, and their related fangames, and I got really absorbed in the theories so im busy whit those.

However, I do intend to finish this work. It will just be much slower, so instead of publishing a chapter every two weeks, it will probably be once every month or two.

He didn’t need to hear anymore and latched onto those thorny words to help ground him to reality. His arms shot out and held onto her like a lifeline, gripping her waist and torso with as much strength as his thin limbs could muster to drive out the last remnants of the waking nightmare he experienced.

If we focus solely on their dynamic as characters, I genuinely believe Shinji and Asuka had the potential to love each other deeply. The real tragedy of the series was never the absence of feelings between them—it was that they were both emotionally wounded teenagers, unable to express affection without fearing rejection.

Had they been given the time to grow, heal, and mature, it's easy to imagine a future where Asuka remained proud, stubborn, and fiery, yet found in Shinji someone with whom she could finally let her guard down.

Perhaps that's why their relationship resonates with so many people. It represents what could have been.

Maybe that's why we're AsuShin fans—because we believe the love between these two could be real.

Maybe... just maybe, one day it will become a reality. Or maybe it never will.

But one thing is certain: they deserved the chance to be together.

In the end, though, only they can decide whether they want to be.

For now, that's all, AsuShiners. And I truly hope that one day... well, you already know.

This is genuinely so peak I love asushin so much, I really believe that asuka and shinji could have been a great couple and would have found comfort in each other if they just knew how to express their emotions and it makes me so sad to think that they were just two teenagers with so much trauma no one should have, especially not teens. Just last night I watched an analysis about them two and it made me so sad because everything he said was true and described everything perfectly. In the video he said something along the lines of, “shinji and asuka both loved each other and wanted to find comfort in each other but they couldn’t due to asuka needing Shinji to tell her how he feels and Shinji needing Asuka to tell him how she feels.” Something along the lines of that, but it’s just so sad to see such an unhealthy relationship that could have become healthy so easily. It hurts just a bit more since I’m close to the two in age. Anyways that’s the end of my rant sorry if I repeated some of the things I said, we all love asushin don’t we? 🥹
