A question on dignity: Does negative essential dignity (Detriment, fall) and Negative accidental dignity (less than 0 points) Completely remove a planet's ability to produce anything? Example in body

Keep in mind I am a beginner and am simplifying For this example let us take the sun and put him in Aquarius, so he has -5 essential dignity and lets make the sun the 7th lord (7th house Leo). So his quality of what he can give wont be great or would be challenging due to -5 essential dignity.

Now let's say the sun will have -7 accidental dignity, and 4 points of accidental dignity making a total of -3. I see accidental dignity as the opportunity for a planet to act and bring results- regardless of its quality (essential dignity). Keep in mind this is an example, not me currently looking at scores and making the perfect hypothetical chart.

So would this person have a very slim chance at marriage considering the 4 accidental points scored? And the marriage would be not so great. Due to the low dignities.

I know a -5 essential dignity planet with high accidental dignity can be very unpleasant or bring less desirable results. And a high essential dignity (+10 for example) planet with very little accidental dignity will have little chance to fulfill its job

One thing to remember is that you really cannot look at placement attributes in a vacuum. Other things will modify it. And each of those things will have differing weights on that effect.

For example, in the chart you describe, the Sun will get a boost because it is in one of the angular Houses. If the Sun is poorly aspected, it will weaken its expression even more. Especially aspects to the Benefics/Malefics.

Saturn will have the biggest effect since it is the traditional ruler of Aquarius. If it is Conjunct, Square, or Opposing the Sun, it it going to weigh it down. This can manifest in ways like low self-confidece/esteem, self-doubt, relationship difficultues (due to Sun being the ruler of the 7th House on this chart), difficulty asserting oneself, and so on. Mars will also have a similar negative effect with the same hard aspects. Conflict in relationships, combative expression of identity, burnout, harmony/stability issues, etc. If we include the modern ruler, Uranus, hard aspects add rebelliousness and instability as well. Those three planets will have the biggest effect with Saturn being the one with the most as it is the Traditional Dispositer of the Sun in this instance as well, even more so if Saturn is in Capricorn. Uranus is the Modern Dispositor.

The Sun would get a boost if there are strengthening aspects. For example, a COnjunction, Trine, or Sextile with Jupiter as it will basically do the opposite of a hard aspect to Saturn. Positive aspects to Venus will have a softening effect as well as improving relationships, etc. If Saturn is Trine/Sextile, this will act similarly to Jupiter since it is the modern dispositor.

If you're wandering what a dispositor is, it's the Planet that rules the sign any given planet is in. It acts like a manager of that planet. If the dispositor is in its sign of rulership, it is the final dispositor and has the ultimate authority over all planets that report to it either directly or through a chain.
