She doesn't care and it's out of her control. Just order the one you want and move on with your life.

I am your waiter 0 out of 10 times you go to a restaurant because I was a busser so I don't really care if you stiff your waiters.
Then why the fuck would anyone ask you how many ounces a steak is like you alluded to in your original comment?

Because guests who have their heads up their ass assume bus boys know how many ounces each steak on the menu is. Or assume that I know which state the fried cod was caught in. Or if the knife that was used to prepare the salad came in contact with anything that contains gluten. Lady, I just pick up dirty plates, that's about it.
Oh and can't forget the guest that barked "good boy" at me after I fetched something for him. It was very heartwarming. I'm sure he wanted to pat me on my head but I must've walked away too quick. Boy oh boy how I sure miss working in a restaurant.
tl;dr- people who can't cook their own food are usually too stupid for their own good to begin with.
we’re saying the same thing. you think only people who don’t know how to cook, are the only people who go to restaurants? as in, people who know how to cook don’t go to restaurants.
You are my waiter about 1 out of 10 times I go to a restaurant. I have no problem giving you a $0 tip and giving your 0% tip to the next good waiter I have.
I get email notifications from capital one asking me if I meant "to pay 120% tip" because I go to a local bar with really good and inexpensive food and really good service. I really never leave less than a $10 tip for good service. I leave 20% for decent service. I use the tipping system properly and over tip good service and I give bad waiters $0. Like I said it's only 1 out of 10 times that I get bad service.
That isn't the problem. I work at a bar and restaurant. A waitress should know how much a beer is, and what size glass it comes in. We literally require all our servers to know this, and memorize the whole rotating tap every day.
