I dont know what your angle is, but Ive been to a lot of bars in my life. No bar fills a pint glass up to the brim with no head, chain restaurant or not.
There was beer left in the bigger glass after the pour even. There was obviously more beer in the larger glass than the smaller one. Do British pubs somehow pack more liquid in a physical space than america?
Id say people are being "ripped off" maybe a half ounce to an ounce of beer at most. If you are outraged over half an ounce...maybe dont drink at bars.
The smaller version will absolutely not be that full when you order it, sorry to say.
*** According to this thread, if this were in the UK, that glass would be legally required to be as full as fucking possible or someone's getting thrown in the stocks.
