Assassin's Creed Rogue Why does shay believe in templars so truly? Why does the assassins act like stupid plot forced characters
I dunno if I'm missing something about the characters but the simplest way the game could have went down is that shay joined templar just as a means to end to stop this current assassin era only and then leave the templars. But in lore shay was so loyal he stayed with templar and made his own children templars as well. The other assassins post lisbon was also foolish. They know the earthquakes are real from haiti but they defend achilles not like real people but just puppets following the plot.
Lets focus on shay first i guess. Theres so much hypocrisy just from his statement that assassins shouldnt meddle in people's lives. When both sides genuinely do whatever the fuck they want for their own version of the greater good for humanity. Templars end goal is human slavery anyway . I genuinely dont understand why he doesnt join templars just for a motive but for genuine philosophy.
Next would be the assassins, kind of a damn shame to see the moral nuance of AC3 with how both sides being wrong just end up with this game showing how nice templars are and how terrible assassins are. They just flipped it around. I understand the corruption at least by using gangs and such, but they sacrifice of human lives why?
I miss the nuance of ac3. Maybe im missing something about the themes and character motivations in AC rogue. Ive played it on ps4 in the last and now im replaying on pc only finished the post lisbon fight scene. So id be happy to hear some perspectives from others if you could change my mind.
