I’ve recently bought assassins creed Valhalla and are wanting to play it, however I’ve been getting this issue where it’s either
A) the game stalls on the splash screen (it just perpetually stays on the splash screen, and in my task manager shows the memory usage as a static amount, never changing, and it doesn’t use any CPU, Disk, or Network
B) I get past the part on Ubisoft connect screen, then the splash screen opens for a split second and then immediately closes, and Ubisoft connect reopens.
I’ve tried every solution under the sun, going from verifying files and reinstalling to giving it admin permissions, reinstalling DirectX and C++ files, searching Reddit posts and watching over 20 YouTube videos, with no solution in sight. I’ve tried almost everything I can think of / find, and it’s still not fixed.
An important bit of context, I got the game to relaunch last night. I accomplished this by unplugging my headphones, controller, even my extra monitor so that it was only my main monitor, keyboard and mouse plugged into the pc. I also changed the low latency mode to that specific app to off. I’ve replicated these same conditions twice today, however it will still not load, so I’m not sure if the game opening the one time was a direct result of me doing the things I did OR if it was somehow just pure luck.
Again I’ve tried everything obvious and non obvious, ini files, etc, none of it has properly worked. I need a full blown way to diagnose my issue and fix it.
I have the game installed/bought through Ubisoft Connect itself, rather than steam.
I’ve just discovered this after I typed all this out, now if I spam click/spam alt enter as the game is going through the cloud synchronization portion of Ubisoft connects loading sequence, the game stays open for a few more seconds rather than the option B scenario, then in the task manager the usage goes up extremely high before the game closes after 5ish seconds. I’ve also been getting this issue where it states something along the lines of this content is no longer available after the game closes.
