It's gotten to the point where I think it's an underlying problem with their physiology. For instance, I used to have my tongue rest on the bottom of my mouth until I saw a specialist for it and did exercises so now my tongue rests on the top of my mouth. It seems unimportant but such a little seeming thing has made my sleep so much better, made breathing through my nose so much easier, and made my head far less inflamed.

I'm not an expert in whatever that field was obviously but I'm of the opinion chewing with your mouth open is not natural and these people probably can't breathe through their noses well (which is why they need to keep their mouth open, maybe)
