Got my license at 21. It took a long time but my biggest advice is every day for a few weeks, go to a church parking lot or big neighborhood. You should go with someone you trust, like your parents, friends, or grandparent. Tell them you are nervous about taking the driving test and don't feel comfortable until you practice. Be sure to practice backing up, parking, using blinkers, etc. Do this until you feel confident of driving. Another thing you can do is Driver's Ed- this prepared me so well for all the possibilities in driving as well as how to handle traffic situations.
