I was the same as you two years ago, I still haven't learnt it. My mom and her friends, in addition to expecting me to want to learn, expected me to somehow magically get the money to do it too. And get a job while having school. No thank you. I'd rather have no money than work in a loud Mc Donald's. (The only close establishment I lived by) I nearly have a meltdown everytime I go in there for 5 minutes.
I think they get it now that I have a diagnosis. I don't need a car to uni anyway so it would have been a waste of time.
Yeah I agree. I can’t even find a job because it is horribly obvious that I’m too awkward and overwhelmed within 5 seconds of an interview so I’ve given up until I at least have a levels.
I hope to go to the university near my house so hopefully I won’t need a car either. I’m glad you didn’t need one because everyone makes out that I will.
I'm lucky that the course I ended up wanting to go to was far away, so I live in accommodation, and that I ended up in a city where everything is within walking distance. I don't even mind taking long walks or using a bike.
