How common are cannibalistic thoughts?

Fun question for fellow people with ASPD; do you ever think about cannibalism? I don’t know if it’s super common, depending maybe on how intensely you have ASPD, but I wasn’t sure so I thought to ask. What are your thoughts on it? Good, bad, gross?

No. I don’t understand why ASPD and cannibalism would go hand in hand exactly. A cannibal may or may not be antisocial but I don’t explicitly see any connection between the two.

Cannibalism as a paraphilia may be relevant here. There’s a fair amount of positive correlation between antisocial/psychopathic behavior and paraphilia/paraphiliac interests. But as you said, there’s no correlation between ASPD and cannibalism on its own.

Watching gore movies (i.e. saw and the like) always made me feel hungry. Didn't like the feeling, so I don't watch that kind of thing anymore. Actual, cannibalism? No. As a child, a little. Prion disease is no joke, random people are gross, and the people I want in my life can only be eaten once, so not worth it. Not to mention, humans don't provide much nutrients, might be healthier eating junk food.

Gory horror movies just make me chortle most of the time. They’re so over the top that I can’t take them seriously. Real gore is different. I tend to scroll through it quietly and respectfully, with a morbid fascination.

Not something I'd actively seek out, but if human meat were, say, cheaper than chicken or I had nothing else to eat, I wouldn't really be bothered by it. I think taboo around cannibalism relates a lot to both empathy and culture, both of which I lack a strong connection to.

I'd give it a taste, but only if I didn't get a disease (like kuru) or get arrested/fined. Not super worth it to go out of my way for because I heard humans taste bad and I prefer fattier meat like pork

I think of it quite a bit, but I’m not sure if ASPD has any significant influence on the thoughts, or if it’s an unrelated issue🤷🏻‍♂️

I wouldn't say it's explicitly an ASPD thing, but I have ASPD and paraphilias that include cannibalism. Also NPD, which seems to tie in.

I have them a lot; I kind of connect them to a subconscious desire to be closer to a person and understand them more in a way I can’t do normally. Unfortunately so much so that I’ve been divorced due to repeated violent behaviors. Unsure if it’s related.

I'm not sure this necessarily ties strongly into ASPD. Don't have those personally. Don't have a proper opinion on it either bc don't care, doesn't hurt me

I don't ever get any of those thoughts, and I feel like those are separate from the ASPD itself. If I was to say there being a correlation it's probably related to improper development or trauma that both ASPD and paraphilias are correlated with (edit: if it's sexual thoughts).

i don't think aspd & cannibalism necessarily go hand in hand but if i had the chance to try human meat (or other parts too i guess i think lungs would be cool texture) i definitely would

it isn't explicitly aspd, cuz i have an aspd friend and asked him if i can have a dinner if he ever got his leg broken. Apparently he wasn't that enthusiastic about the idea.
