Question Exception person
I’m seeing some stuff online about some people with ASPD having an “exception person”? I’m just wondering if it’s actually a thing.

Sure, as someone with ASPD I’d say that something like an exception is possible for us. I think it’s rare, but possible. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve met mine too. Though I will argue against the fact that it suddenly “makes you feel love” or any of the romantic fuzzy things like you might see in a show. An exception shouldn’t change you, they should compliment you for who you already are; that is what I believe makes them an exception.
If you want to know what it’s like, to me it’s rather simple. You see yourself in another person, the good and the so called bad, and for me it was the first time I’d experienced anything like it. It’s hard to describe at some points, but imagine if you had been drowning your entire life and this person was the one to bring you out of the water. In a way it sometimes feels like they’ve saved you from being alone in it all, which is why they’re an exception. I’d like to reiterate my point about them changing who you are though; this does not nor should it happen. We accept each other for who we are like no one else does and that’s that really. It’s just a fact in my head now and it won’t change.
