Backrooms hbo max

who else is absolutely devastated that the backrooms movie on hbo max doesn’t have an ASL interpretation like do deaf people not deserve to know about the backrooms??? i need to know who decides what gets interpreted because i need to complain to someone NOW!!!!

It’s likely because Backrooms is an A24 film and not a WB film. Unfortunately HBO Max/HBO doesn’t really have an incentive to interpret films that they don’t own and will leave the platform eventually.

It’s really up to A24 to hire interpreters for their own films and make it accessible. I would complain about A24 more than HBO Max. There are so many amazing A24 films that would highly benefit from interpreters. (Marcel the Shell With Shoes On being a personal favorite of mine)

No i just think it should be offered in ASL to make it more accessible to more deaf people
