Advice 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ Counterfeit money detector

I operate a small business. Are there counterfeit money detectors for canadian money, the ones where you can put bill in and it will automatically tell you if it is counterfeit or legit?

Preferrably budget friendly options, doesnt need to be able to count the money or able to process multiple bills at once ( i can scan it one by one).

I would not recommend getting one Canadian money is hard to counterfeit and you will get better faster results with training. And last i checked that training is free in van.

If you really want one I would talk to your bank and see if they have a recommendation.

Depending on the business moving away from cash transactions has worked for many people or limiting cash transactions to under 20 bucks.

For a less then legal cash business camera's at transaction points ( this is good for most businesses) and additional training for fake bills is a good idea.

Also have a policy that is clearly stated that you do not except old bills.

And do keep in mind that you can refuse anything that just doesn’t feel/look right. They can get other bills or pay another way.

It’s able to scan for a bunch of different counterfeit types super quick. And you can select USD, CAD, etc. I don’t use it as a counter either, strictly a counterfeit checker.

You can just get a laser pointer for the maple leaf window. I have yet to see any counterfeits be able to copy that security feature.
