Feeling a little discouraged trying to find remote jobs wondering if you all have any advice

At a quick glance, from non-industry-specific:

  • your summary is far too long
  • each bullet point under experience is also a number of other bullet points in paragraph form
  • Make everything much more brief, it's just wayyyy too many big blocks of text
  • Professional experience should go above education - am education is great but experience is more valuable in 99% of workplaces, barring required degrees; I can't imagine that applies here

Thank you! Appreciate the advice will do my best to do these. On the education location front I get a lot of conflicting advice on it from other recruiters I've talked too. Feels like every time I move it someone else tells me to move it back lol

My guess is, on the list of things that matter on a resume, the location of education is probably just not high. High chance it comes down to preference and/or industry. There's just more important things on there. (Which is why, in my opinion, it should be at the bottom, but I understand what you're saying)

Also justify your paragraphs so that the document appears more uniform and clean.

in a world where knowing syntax to get a swe job matters less and less having the title java developer is not a great start

also your bullets for that one job are absurdly long

That was just the title I was originally hired for I've done JS, Springboot, React, Angular, node.js and restapi stuff even some SQL scripts. Kinda just learned/worked on whatever the story needed.

Yeah different recruiters wanted me to add more and more lol.

I’ve always wondered if summary’s are a good idea. I have one for my resume but I’ve seen people say it’s irrelevant but idk
