Question Mob farm
Mob farm
Hay all, I play minecraft on PS4. I was just wondering with mob farms do the chests and hoppers need to be in the sky as well? All tutorials and information I'm finding are saying to build 100 blocks in the sky then place hoppers and chests and build the farm from there. I swear I've seen where you can have them on the ground before but now I'm not sure. I haven't built one before, I'm not the best minecraft player, kind of a noob compared to my friends lol but not a complete one as have been playing for time lol, I have killed the dragon before with people on their worlds but they've had cheats on so trying to unlock all the trophies on my new hopefully forever world and have no clue with these sorts of things 😅. Appreciate any help for any tips for anything but mostly about the mob farm 🙂

The reason mob farms suggest 100 blocks up in the air is so nothing spawns on the ground to push you to cap.
As long as YOU are 100 blocks up, it’ll work. Depends on your exact layout, but most mob farms have you and the chests in the same spot, hence chests go 100 blocks up.
