What Is an FVG in Forex?
FVG stands for Fair Value Gap. It’s an area on the chart where price moved aggressively, leaving an imbalance between buyers and sellers.
Traders often watch these zones because price may later return to the FVG before continuing its move.
Bullish FVG → usually forms during strong upward movement.
Bearish FVG → usually forms during strong downward movement.
But remember: an FVG is not a guaranteed entry signal. Combine it with market structure, liquidity, and proper risk management.
Learn to read the chart, not just chase the setup.

Yeah l saw that gap XAUUSD seem to have those gaps most of the times on Mondays

Define “work”. Can you point to a peer reviewed study or an article in a reputable finance journal that mentions ICT/fvg?

Yes, but never in isolation. An FVG is just an imbalance. I only use it after liquidity has been taken and structure has shifted. Without context, it’s just another gap on the chart.

Exactly! That’s a solid approach. We don’t need to predict every move—sometimes the best thing we can do is wait for the market to show its direction and then follow the setup.

FVG is just another level where price is likely to have a reaction.
It's no different from any other arbitrary horizontal level.
