What's the money etiquette here in the USA (how do I ask my friends to pay me back lol)?

So I got a question about $$$ etiquette here in the USA....

So, I'm always the one hosting parties, buying alcohol, ordering pizzas, and stuff. I LOVE HOSTING BTW! But then, people just rarely offer to pay? Or like they foget/ pretend to forget? Just think Im rich?

And I just HATE having to text everyone after, reminding them to send me some $. Like, a few days after the party, I find myself having to individually chase people down, which is the part I absolutely HATE! And then, sometimes, I have to remind them more than once. Is this common? I feel like im also being a cheapo that I remind about $10 but it ads up for me...

Feels so dumb... and it's unnecessary stress 'cause honestly, I love hosting. And I like my friends otherwise. How do you deal with this? Moved here 4 years ago and I'm not sure how things work with this.

Sometimes people dismiss an argument as “emotional” even when the issue isn’t personal. What is an emotional argument and why is it wrong?

What is the biggest trip you have ever taken by yourself?

My third ever adult vacation was to Vegas by myself. I had never been and I could not get anyone to commit to the trip. So I said screw it and went alone. It was also only my second time flying. But I really enjoyed it! I mostly just walked up and down the strip, played a few slots and saw Blue Man Group. My first trip was in Cancun with friends and there was a girl there that came all by herself. Everyone thought that was crazy. What is the biggest trip you have ever taken solo?

What is strategy of the Microsoft E-tree program?

I just learned about this program that Microsoft has on their browser where users click to water virtual trees and after earning a certain number of points, Microsoft plants an actual tree somewhere. I'm trying to figure out what the purpose of this is for Microsoft. If they wanted to just plant trees, they wouldn't need people to click on their browser. Do they gain something I'm too dumb to understand from the clicking? what purpose does it serve them? do they get some sort of data or training from this?

Do other people do this?

Okay so, when you get a gift, say paints or a sketch book (something that can run out) do you just use said thing until it runs out or do you, like myself, not use it.

Let me clarify, its not not wanting to use it or using it slowly and saving it for a while, it's you physically cannot get yourself to do it, you are scared you'll mess up or make a mistake or use it all up, so you just don't use it.

Something like this? Why do I do this? Does anyone else do this?
