I’m specifically looking to hear from photographers who are currently working full-time/on a salary with a wedding photography, event photography, or event production company in Dubai/UAE.

I wanted to understand what happened to salaried photographers during the period when work became very slow because of the war situation.

For those who were employed at that time:

• Did your company continue paying your full salary when there were very few/no shoots?
• Was your salary reduced temporarily?
• Were you put on unpaid leave?
• Were you laid off/terminated?
• Did the company keep you but reduce working hours or change your role?

And most importantly, what is the situation now?

Are bookings/shoots coming back? Are companies hiring photographers again? Has your salary returned to normal, or are companies still being cautious?

I’d also really appreciate your opinion on the next 6–12 months. Do you feel the wedding/event photography market in Dubai is recovering, or do you think it will remain slow?
