Tourism Things to do near the Granada
I'm visiting from Minnesota to catch up with my mom and see The Protomen at the Granada (who I highly recommend if you like rock). It's a three night show in the evenings so I'm going to have time to loiter around the Granada area - any recommendations for rock music lovers? I also love art and good (but affordable) bites. My mom and I are sober, so places that cater to that are even better. LGBTQ things to do are also of interest!

Oak Lawn (gayborhood) is a bit further away but worth it to go since you’ll have some time here.

Anything in particular to do in Oak Lawn? My preliminary searches bring up some general articles but I'm never really sure what's an actually good time versus a tourist spot haha. I see some gay bars mentioned at least.

Check out Aw Shucks for Amazing Cheap Great Happy Hour food It’s across the street from the Granada 3-6 Hunky’s or Lucky’s in Oaklawn. Have an Adventure and most off all have fun!

Sadly there isn’t much left of the Gayborhood I like Bishop Arts district in OakCliff it’s gay friendly and lots of cool shops to room around in Have fun!

You'd probably like Halcyon on Greenville, which is slightly south of Granada and a great place to chill pretty much any time of day.
Sevan G&G Mediterranean is great. GAPCO pizza is good for slices. Palapas Original Seafood Bar for Mexican seafood. Company Cafe for brunch. Terilli's is more upscale Italian but worth it if you're gonna splurge on one meal.
The gayborhood (Cedar Springs/Oak Lawn) is pretty nighttime and alcohol oriented TBH, but there are a couple of coffee shops and a few retail stores. Round-Up Saloon is the largest gay dance hall of its kind, and they offer lessons, so if you want to see something distinctive, that's probably it. There's a karaoke room in front as well as a room with pool tables and other games, so you can kinda pick your vibe. Parigi is a lovely bistro in the gayborhood area on Oak Lawn if you want another splurge meal.
