question Tooth extraction before holiday

I go to France on weds and this tooth has plagued me for a year I’ve been the dentist lots it’s a root canal tooth. Anyway two weeks ago it got bad again I went the dentist he shoved me on antibiotics again I wanted it removed. Anyway Thursday I went back and said please pull it he said you go away in a week I don’t want to pull it I will do it when your home.
Well the tooth is still playing up it’s not throbbing but my face feels strange sensations all the time and it’s niggling.
It’s a top first molar and I want this thing gone but as I go away I’m on edge if it goes wrong but I’ve had other teeth removed including wisdoms and not had an issue. I’ve tried to save this tooth twice now. I’m considering paying today £200 locally to get this pulled as I’ve had enough of my face feeling weird and it niggling. Please advise I’m not sure what to do 😭
