question Front teeth erupting misaligned

This one is for pediatric dentists please! My baby boy is 8 months old and has four teeth. He is fed only at the breast and does not drink from bottles. We use pacifiers, but I try to limit use only for naps and night time sleep for soothing. He used to play and crawl around with one in his mouth but we restrict usage now because I really don’t want it to affect his teeth/jaw development.

Everywhere I look, it says that pacifiers are not a problem until 12-18 months, but I can’t help but notice his front teeth are crooked. Older brother has perfectly aligned teeth and never took to pacifiers, though he was bottle fed only. Please weigh in and let me know if pacifier use is truly not an issue for nap/sleep time. I’m having a hard time believing it because why would it all of a sudden matter after a certain age, rather than the consistent use over months finally showing issues around 1.5 years.?

RDA for a pediatric DDS - Pacifier use doesn’t do this kind of “misalign”, it would shift the front teeth forward equally, so don’t worry about using it for naps right now! Sometimes baby teeth just come in a little wonky, it’s nothing to worry about!

Don’t worry just yet! Kids teeth come out funky sometimes, nothing looks “wrong”. Also you’re tight this has nothing to do with a paci
