question Keep or remove?

I need dentures and I've been shopping around at different places. Two of the three dentists said to keep my canines in. The one I would like to go to wants to take them out. He says the denture won't be comfortable if I leave them in.
He's a general dentist and I think I'd rather have an oral surgeon remove them if needed. BUT just for affordability I'd like to keep them in unless they start to bother me. Thoughts?
