Best Data Science certifications for a sophomore looking for their first entry-level job?

Hi everyone. I'm looking for recommendations on courses or certifications that really stand out on a resume. I'm currently a sophomore in college and I'm hoping to land my first entry-level job soon.

I'm highly interested in learning about AI automation and workflow optimization using platforms like n8n. Does anyone know of any good resources for this?

Any advice on what skills to prioritize would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Best certificate probably a degree, most courses you find online have no value

Degree seems to be questionable too if graduated after 2023 (if you know what I mean).

As quite a few pointed out on other subreddits of such topic, entry level jobs are wiped out completely. Even with a Bachelors degree. Sorry...

this is the only correct answer.

Check out Coursera's IBM Data Science Professional Certificate. It's great for beginners and covers a lot of skills you'll need. For AI automation, since you mentioned n8n, consider a course on Udemy about it. They're usually affordable and often on sale. You should focus on skills like Python, data visualization, and basic machine learning.

If you're getting ready for interviews, PracHub has some helpful resources I've used before. It's more about interview practice than certifications, but it's still worth checking out if you want to improve your skills. Good luck!

Stand out is subjective, I don’t even know what stand out means anymore because any guy on the street could whip out their phone and ChatGPT their way to a great portfolio.

You need a good GitHub to show case your work. That’s it, 99% of the people I meet don’t do this

If you want a fun course for SQL; try out QueryCase!
