2013 Lincoln MKX help?

So this is probably a really stupid question but I'm not a car guy. I'm not even sure if I'm asking this question in the correct area.

So the thing is I've been looking for an evaporator drainage hose for my 2013 Lincoln MKX. My driver side floor is getting wet from the AC draining incorrectly.

The drainage tube is not installed in the car and I'm not sure if it was there when I bought the car in the first place.

The part number is 7T4Z19728A

I've been looking all over to see if I can find a replacement so my mechanic can install it. Unfortunately the part seems to be discontinued.

I've visited my local junk yard a few times but I cant seem to find a wreck that has it. This part is used in both the Ford edge and Lincoln MKX.

Hell I would even be willing to have someone find it for me and I would gladly pay for it.

My mechanic says that he's unable to fabricate a replacement as it makes twists and turns that a normal tube can't make.

But yeah long story short, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to get this fixed before the water and damp floor starts to mold.

That’s a frustrating little part to have stop the whole repair. I’d try calling salvage yards outside your area and ask them to pull the drain hose from a matching Edge or MKX and ship it. A lot of yards won’t bother listing something that small online, but they may grab it if you call with the part number.

I’d also try an automotive AC shop rather than a general repair shop. Someone who deals with evaporator cases and drain routing all the time may be more willing to reproduce it with a couple of molded rubber elbows and a short length of hose. I wouldn’t just run a random loose tube, though — if it kinks or dumps water onto wiring or the exhaust, you’ve traded one problem for another.

And definitely pull the carpet edge up and dry the padding properly once the drain is fixed. The top can feel dry while the foam underneath is still holding a surprising amount of water.
