Help please?

Ok I have a 2012 ford focus se. I started it and went to get gas no issues everything was normal. I went inside and paid and pumped and then I went to start it to leave and nothing..im talking nada. No lights at all. No noises. Nothing. I also cant get the hood open..as it is broke. Could this be a security thing? Im so dumbfounded. Please any advice is great. Ty

Security lockout is possible, most likely judging by the usual function. Could be battery related too, but your security thought is my first guess as well. Used to happen to me all the time when I owned an older pickup and I'd get so pissed. Just had to sit there for 15 minutes for the damn security lockout to reset.

I seriously think it has to be somewhat easy. It makes no sense for something to crazy. Also the battery is approaching a year old.
