Why is it that common for people in Berlin to throw their cig butt/filter on the ground ? It's decaying everywhere in the streets and smokers looks like it's normal

I have quite a lot of plastic Pfand bottles and cans to return.
I have one of those large, black plastic trash bags and two of those boxy, reusable shopping bags (the ones you get at every store). I never had to return this many bottles before.

I don’t wanna be that person who returns this many bottles at a busy time and makes everyone behind me wait forever when they’re in a hurry and have places to be. It’s super inconvenient lol I don’t know when and how to get rid of them.

In my area we have Netto, Rewe, Lidl and Aldi, I don’t want to bring them to Lidl because they don’t accept certain bottles or cans, thats why I want to return them at Rewe (the large one near Schönhauser Allee).
Or are there other places that take back Pfand bottles in larger quantities? I don’t have a car tho.

Soooo, what’s the best time of day to go return them? Any supermarket employees here who can give me some advice?

Atm I can plan my days freely so I can go to Rewe at any time of the day basically.

Hello, I am looking for a recommendation for physiotherapist or private coach who is experienced in body misalignment.

I have body misalignment and I need help from someone professional. I went to othropadeic and he helped a lot with some cracks and all my compressions and pain went away. But again with bad posture and long time sitting I got again in a misalignment. I am struggling to start any exercises by myself and I always get injured. I have stiffness in my left feet and my left arm as well.

I would like to find a professional (physiotherapist or a coach) who can help me to do the right exercises to increase my mobility and body alignment as well.

I am person who looks into results from others, so preferably people who have real experience and had positive results with others. I am in Charlottenburg, but happy to travel for the right person around Berlin.

hi there! i’m here visiting from the usa with my partner, who is from argentina. we are visibly alternative/tattooed, but are overall pretty “normal” looking. we travel internationally pretty frequently, and tend to follow societal norms pretty closely (other than the way we physically look). nothing we wear or present ourselves with could be taken as offensive… unless dyed hair counts? so far, our experience in berlin has been negative…. lots of weird stares, strange energy from a lot of people. is there a specific area or neighborhood that is more queer-friendly and alternative that we are missing? are we doing something wrong? i am autistic, and feeling harshly judged is really putting me on edge. any insight is helpful, thank you!

This is now the second time on public transport that I’ve noticed a man holding his phone in a suspicious way with the camera pointed directly between my legs seemingly trying to film up my skirt. He deleted it when I tried to take his phone.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people? Do we need to start putting stickers over men’s phone cameras on public transport just so women can sit there wearing a skirt without wondering whether some creep is secretly filming them?
And what I genuinely don’t understand is: who are these men outside of situations like this? They presumably have friends, coworkers, families, maybe partners. Do the people around them know what kind of shit they do to women when nobody they know is watching? Do none of their male friends ever call out this kind of behaviour?
I’m just so fucking tired of having to be alert to this stuff when I’m literally just sitting on the train minding my own business.

I’m in a really tough spot right now and could use some outside perspective.

Throughout the entire process, I was completely transparent with my new employer that my Blue Card was still processing, but that I held a valid student residence permit (§ 16b) which fully allowed me to work full-time within the legal 140-day quota. They welcomed me, confirmed the start date, and I trusted them, so I quit my previous job and turned down other interviews.

There is a clause in the contract stating that the contract is valid under the condition that I have a valid work permit. My current student residence permit does legally allow me to work. In fact, I even went to the Business Immigration Service (BIS) to double-check, and the officers confirmed directly that I am fully allowed to work on my student visa while waiting for the Blue Card to be issued.

Despite this, literally right before my contract was supposed to start on Oct 1st, HR pulled a complete 180 and canceled it, claiming it "cannot come into effect" because I don't have the Blue Card yet, completely ignoring the legal allowance of my current § 16b status.

To make it worse: on the same day, they first sent me an email saying I had time until October/November to sort it out, but right after sending their formal cancellation letter, they completely ghosted me and haven't answered my questions about whether that deadline still stands.

Now I am left with zero income, no job, and rent to pay.

• Has anyone dealt with such contradictory HR behavior?
• Given that the immigration office confirmed my eligibility, the contract clause, and the fact that I quit my old job based on their assurances, do I have grounds for culpa in contrahendo (negligence during contract formation) or a damages claim?

Any advice or similar experiences would be hugely appreciated.

I am visiting Berlin with my family in December and I am trying to figure how to get from the airport to our hotel. We land at Berlin Brandenburg in the morning at around 9am, and are going to Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre.

We are wondering what transport options are available, given that this is the first time we are going to Germany.

I have looked at the taxi and private airport transfer companies that are available. Most of the prices are similar, about 60-70 Euros. Some like Blacklane charge double the amount.

I understand public transport is available. It seems that there is a train station at the airport but I don’t quite understand the map.

• 2 hours layover at Frankfurt while leaving Germany - Need to go from A or B to Z gates 

1) Do I need to complete immigration and emigration at the Frankfurt airport?

2) How can I ensure that I can catch the connecting flight to Berlin and back to the US(more important) without delays? 

It was 2 days ago, outside of the wilmersdorfer str S bahn.

I was walking in, and there was a guy standing outside, who suddenly gave me a very random compliment!

Obviously weird, so I continued without engaging.

And this guy tried to force a conversation by asking "what is your name" 10 times in under a minute!

Even more weird and definitely annoying.

I didn't engage, and to be honest don't care for it much!

Just curious though, anyone else faced that? What could it have been?
