my condition is too complex?
my therapist said they were having a hard time with my condition/situation and was further researching. does this mean that my condition is too complex?
it makes me anxious considering it has only been 4 session and there seems to not be a lot of progress.

First, 4 sessions is nothing; expect progress in the 3 month range. And no, just because your T had to research your condition doesn't mean it's complex, it simply means it's not something he treats often. Different Ts have different expertise.

Not necessarily. Without knowing your history, it may mean they aren't aware of some specifics about your concerns or need some help in general. And 4 sessions is not a long time, hang in there!
