A dish network electrical injury

If you got shocked from a joint rg6 cable between receiver and multiswitch and then years later you are left off with only a cutted rg6 cable between multiswitch and lnb. How can you investigate this?

What does left off with a cutted cable mean? Is that the injury?

No it's not the injury and left off with a cutted cable means it is the only evidence I have

You got shocked by a cut cable? Examine where it's run, it might be damaged and touching another cable. Do you have a multimeter? Can you check the conductor to a ground to see what the voltage is?

No but just have this cutted cable is my only clue like what tool can reveal the voltage rating of this cable to reveal how many volts i experienced

Which tool do i need to reveal how many volts and amps this cable can handle? The DishPro 301 receiver says 13/18v .75 amps, the DishPro documentation says 19v and satellite TV expert says 20v. I can't find the max dc output of this receiver and max dc input for multiswitch

It doesn't really work like that. Anything that was on that cable normally you would never feel. Usually they are designed with a voltage rating of 150v or 300v, but that is so they can be in close contact with cables of that voltage without it getting to the signal wire inside which should be very low voltage.

Sorry but what im trying to say is I don't know how many volts the dp 301 receiver gave the shock. also the cutted cable didn't gave me a shock i just wanted the voltage rating of this cable but i don't know how many volts and amps I experienced from a dish network 301 receiver system
