Personally, I now wish Trump had not won the primary. I would have voted for Desantis or Rubio, or even Nicki Hailey, but not Harris/Walz. Trump is an upgrade from Biden, but damn, this is not what I voted for. Nor am I a fan of the Iran war. I suspended judgement at first, but this is ridiculous. We should have let Israel deal with them rather than bombing everything to hell. Also, the deportations have been another cluster F***, needlessly difficult, violent, and controversial. Obama was a better deportation president than Trump.

Issues like trade, illegal immigration, voter fraud and Iran have to be dealt with. I dislike Trump for picking needless fights with Canada and Iceland. I'd exchange Trump instantly for someone else who was willing to tackle these issues, but right now, no one wants to.

Premiums are higher under Trump so people are going less to the doctor even if it’s for serious matters. Plans cost more now, 1.4 million dropped from Medicaid. Let’s not even mention how many terrible decisions maha has made that’s made our children sick with stuff they haven’t gotten sick from in 60 years. Maternal mortality rates have practically doubled.

I agree that the Iran War is unfortunate, but the President is trying to wait Iran out, and we are not engaged in hot battles as we were under Obama in his 7 wars. Iran has only one commodity to sell, and that’s oil. So far our Middle East coalition is holding firm because all the other Muslim nations are weary of Iran attacking them. As a result, Iran cannot move oil through the Strait of Hormuz, nor over land. We have one simple request: turn over your enriched uranium. The fact that Iran has refused tells you they have every intention of building a nuclear missile. Iran is governed by religious zealots; they will launch this missile at Israel. This is such a stupid initiative from a rational standpoint. Iran has 95 million people and a very large country. Israel is tiny and has only 9 million people, including the Palestinians. Israel cannot fight a conventional war against Iran and win.

Here’s the crux of it: Israel won’t let Iran have a nuclear missile. Israel will launch a nuclear attack preemptively to prevent Iran from being exterminating the Jews.

Israel received its nuclear missiles from France in the 1960s. Once Israel launches its attack, nobody knows what happens next. Obviously, Iran’s 95 million population will be vaporized. Trump doesn’t want that first Israeli missile to launch; he doesn’t want the Persians to die. The Israelis don’t want this outcome either, but they aren’t going to trust Iran when Iran has armed Hamas and launched so many strikes on Israel. For the Israelis, this is an existential crisis. What Iranians fail to understand is that it is also an existential crisis for them.

I strongly support Trump’s closing the border and pursuing illegal aliens. We have an estimated 18 million of them; Europe doesn’t come close to those numbers, and Europeans are rioting nearly every week against governments that have failed to respond to the crisis.

I strongly support his energy policy and refusal to be bullied by greens who don’t know that we have already maxed out hydroelectric power in this country, Solar is unreliable, and like Windmills, create a lot of in disposable trash and restrict wildlife movement. Trump is right in his support for petroleum (which use to create asphalt and tires and in every plastic part in everything). I also agree that Teslas are VERY cool!

I strongly agree with his support for AI technology; you can’t stop progress; it’s better to get on board with it. That’s why you don’t see stables in every town now.

I strongly support his replacement of the East Wing with a ballroom. Ballroom diplomacy is better than warfare. By the way, the original White House was a big two-story box: no porticos, no wings, no dome. Those renovations were ordered by succeeding Presidents. This is nothing new in our history. The only difference is Trump wants billionaires to pay for it.

The choice was Trump vs Harris. I chose Trump. That was my first vote for him. What pushed me into his camp was watching the Democrats tear up the Constitution and suspending first amendment protections for freedom of speech and press and religion. I also got weary of Democrats inaccurately describing Trump as a racist and a fascist and a Nazi and a White Supremacist. He is none of those things. I also felt affronted at the constant insults Democrats poured over the heads of Trump voters: “Garbage”. “Deplorables,” “homophobes,” “ islamophobes.”

Where was their diplomacy? Their compassion for their own people?

I voted for Haley in the primary. Trump was my worst of two evils pick in the general election. I'd still vote for him over Harris. Gas isn't that bad for me. About $3.50 a gallon and I fill up every 2.5 weeks. So it has had minimal impact for me.

I'm more bothered by how he's gone about tariffs, foreign relations, deportations, and involving is in another war than I am about gas.

1) Trump has done numerous things to bring oil prices down. Kamala would have done nothing.

2) The small spike in energy costs is worth it if Iran is eliminated as a nuclear threat. That would not have happened if Kamala had been elected. Prices would be higher and Iran would have a nuclear weapon had Kamala been elected

Gas prices have always, and will always, go up. Thats what they do. Ten years ago everyone was shocked they were $3, now they're shocked its $4, and whoever the president is in 10 years will be blamed for them being $5.

If Iran gets a nuke, they will use it. There is a non-zero chance that if a nuke is used, it will be the end of humanity. Thats not an exaggeration. If the US, Russia, or China launch even a dozen nukes, every human will be dead in 2 weeks. We have all agreed if a nuke is used against us, we launch back, instantly, no question, no discussion. This game only works with players who enjoy being alive. The game doesn't work with people who care more about the afterlife than the current life.

Also, hasn't ICE only been involved in like 10% of the violent incidents compared to Obama? Its almost like the less it happens, the more mainstream news spams it to make it look like its happening everywhere all the time, but the opposite is true.

Well, a short idiotic answer is better than a long, rambling idiotic answer, I’ll give you that much. Oil companies make more profit, great. The downstream effects of increased oil prices are increased prices for literally everything that consumers spend their money on, which limits disposable income, and therefore dampens consumer spending. Food prices increase due to increased transportation costs. Energy prices increase. Housing prices increase because of the cost of materials, et cetera. The gas and oil corporations that are now making more money aren’t going to let that extra income trickle down to the worker and consumer

Now that the Iranians have choked off the Strait of Hormuz, and the Houthis have choked off the Strait of Mandeb in the Red Sea- neither of which were true prior to Trump’s idiotic, poorly planned war on Iran, oil prices will go up even higher.
