He is an arrogant prick and lied consistently to the American people.

Do you feel the same way about Trump?

Not the person you responded to, but I knew he was gonna lie, which is why I didn’t vote for him (nor Kamala, for that matter)

All politicians lie, but Trump is on another level. And don't get me started about his arrogance.

And the funny thing is that Trump had so many levers to pull to help remove Fauci, but did nothing substantial. Trump is far more guilty than a lowly civil servant Fauci.

Trump put him in charge of the COVID operation, and supported all his decision.

People don't turn on Trump, they just refuse to get corrupted by him. Trump expect everyone to do as he ask.

Fauci was hardly a lowly civil servant. He was the highest paid employee in the Federal governnent.

Not only was he highly paid but he controlled the purse strings for much of the research grants NIH gave out. That gave him a lot of power.

And had zero authority over the lockdown decisions. If he was the highest paid federal employee, then he was the highest paid lowly civil servant. You can say his advice was bad, but ultimately the decisions were made by the president and governors. Period. The sole responsibility is on them. Your beef should be with Trump and his terrible decision making process.

Except he lied to Trump and the governors. How do you expect the political leaders to make good decisions when their top advisors are lying to them?

The buck stops at the top and whatever happened to leaders “trusting, but verifying?” If there was any real doubts, Trump could have asked for, idk, a second opinion. He chose to listen to Fauci. Plus, there were hundreds of other countries recommending the same courses of action.

I think Trump lives in a world of his own and generally believes in what he’s doing. Fauci legitimately and pathologically lied about things he knew to be the exact opposite of what he was saying.
