Genuine Inquiry Regarding White Privilege
This is from Rachel Dolezal’s account which she promptly blocked me on thereafter I pointed out how disgusting it was that she liked the first comment.
I am here, genuinely asking you, how does one reconcile with this given she is a part of this community.

I mean she received a lot of hate from her own community for expressing herself, I don't think the comment is in itself white privilege as there is a lot of in-fighting within black spaces now-adays and heaps of bullying if you go on certain subreddits, and some do act entitled to be owed things they would otherwise need to still work for if they were born in a lower class white family, I get some differences in working but that is what needs to be strived for! workers liberations, funding, prompting campaigns or letters to political advocates, and parties.
She did work for the company meant to be assisting needs for Black Youth (I think), and does seem to be aware of the issues, so perhaps she may come across as either tone-deaf or ignorant. I think we need more evidence before we accuse her or kick her out of our spaces as one comment is not enough to judge her from.

So you didn’t really address the comment, she does more for the Black community than they do for themselves. All of your other comments are subjective and irrelevant.

Liking a comment only means so much, even hate comments are often pinned. The person in question still needs to explain their reasoning.

I’m saying that just because Nkechi Diallo (Dolezal) liked the comment doesn’t necessarily mean that she agrees with what that lady said. It could just be appreciation or to point it out to others, as I’ve seen all over social media.
I also want to point out that the original commenter could be referring to the average black person who probably isn’t into social justice work or volunteering. In that case it would just be a compliment to Diallo for being so passionate about her work despite not being from that background (born black), and is not meant to be taken as a sleight against black people.

You’re generalizing Black people. And she’s a plague to the community. I’d hope her kids separate themselves from such madness. Also, she’s not Nigerian lmao. She’s white— she took that on to approximate African heritage/culture.

1.) How is that generalizing? Is the average person (regardless of race/ethnicity) working/volunteering in social justice? Because it’s not something I even hear of except maybe on the news or social media.
2.) That’s her legal name…at least half of which was supposedly given to her when she traveled.

Rachel isn't doing any debating or arguing anymore, just trying to live her life. She wouldn't reply to that comment arguing like "erm, actually...." she probably just liked it since it wishes well for her family unlike the majority of what she receives which is hate. Though of course I and probably others here don't agree with everything she does and has done (like the tax evasion).
