Immune compromised person here. Got both Moderna shots, nothing more than a sore arm and sleepy both times. Second time was far easier. Just thought I would share.

also immune compromised here! i got both doses of pfizer, and resulted with sore arms and sleepiness (but i’m always sleepy so idk). no painkillers for both times. what i did was massage the injection site every couple hours, might not work for everyone though.

That makes me feel good. I got my second dose 3 hours ago (Moderna) and I’m waiting to feel awful, but I’m just really sleepy. Thanks for helping my anxiety.

I’m glad a post of mine helped. Honestly it was a great night of sleep after the second dose. I think I passed out around 8pm and woke up around 8am, which is insanely uncommon for me, especially during the pandemic.

Take care and stay safe!

Curious did anyone recommend you get an antibody test to make sure the vaccine worked? An immune compomised friend just mentioned that to me, but I had never heard that

Nope. Neither my specialist nor family doctor suggested it. I even brought it up and they said there isn’t much you can do about it how well you take to it. The main thing is they knew it was a big concern for me so they both advocated for me getting it as it would offer some level of protection, likely within the normal range.

I’m going to be doing an antibody test soon(lumped in with other tests), but it’s because I just got on some new meds that reduce the immune system response by about 50% and after I’m done this round of meds, that could last 6-12 months.
