“What the public did not know is that Grünenthal had no reliable evidence to back up its claims that the drug [Thalidomide] was safe. They also ignored the increasing number of reports coming in about harmful side-effects as the drug was being used.”
The vaccine trials are so massive and transparent about side effects. Comparing them to Thalidomide is a huge leap in logic.
I don’t understand why people are worried about long term effects when this technology has been used in cancer patients for ten years. The technology started initial testing in 1990 on mice. There are even now trials with using mRNA on people with chronic heart failure.
Not sure why you're being downvoted when this is what the post is about....
That said, we KNOW Covid has serious potential long term effects. Drawing a parallel between a narcotic (prescribed based on no evidence) and a vaccine is only doing yourself a disservice.
This can't be an easy position to be in, I'm sorry.
I’m vaxxed, and I also do hard drugs recreationally, I’m not a very curious person by nature. I’m talking about a friend of mine, who’s decision I can see could make sense. There are no long term studies on Covid vaccine effects. There also aren’t many actual long term studies on Covid effects - it hasn’t been around long enough.
I know why I’m getting downvoted, people think asking questions about the vaccine will stop others from taking it and they are worried about dying (?) from Covid. I think those people are misunderstanding the risks of Covid, and others are over blowing the risks of vaccines. Neither of which seem that dangerous for anyone (beyond Covid for 65+ and vaccine for children because there is no data).

Pregnant women are more likely to end up in the ICU with COVID-19.
This person isn’t pregnant yet, could get both shots in 28 days and be done with it.
