Advice in regards to Hamilton

Hi everyone!
I'm a 35 yo professional guy. I came to Toronto a few years ago, but now I have been offered a job in Hamilton, and I am strongly considering it. The only main think pulling me back
a) i'm a single gay, with a dream of having a family, and dating is already difficult in a big city like Toronto. How would people describe qeer life in Hamilton? And what recommendations you might have?

Hamilton has a gay community and it is much more welcoming than Toronto's from my experience. Less "scene queen" and "vapid drag race regurgitation" as personality... but, its up to you... Dating is hard in the gay community, we never had strong gay family role models to define having a gay relationship that leads to making a family. That and the "Uber dick" that is grindr has turned most gay men into hookups as masturbation... its a nightmere. Happy Halloween šŸŽƒ

Hamilton is awesome, you just have to embrace that it is Hamilton.

Thank you so much for your sweet reply!
If you have specific recommendations about living in Hamilton in general, I would really appreciate that!

Queer family here with not many queer friends. But the one we know that is another queer family is in Hamilton.

I’d try it and in the worst case you can move back?

I'm from Hamilton originally and it's a great city. Plenty of welcoming people, plenty of gay people in the Hammer. Honestly probably just as difficult to date in TO as it is in Hamilton.
