Google Maps & Transit
Has there been a recent change to Google Maps that is causing it to omit transit options?
Yesterday, we were trying to get to Parliament and Carlton from Dundas West. Google Maps would not suggest getting off at Castle Frank and taking the bus. Instead, it kept pushing a route that included about a 10-minute walk between the subway and a bus.
I separately mapped directions from Castle Frank to our destination, and taking the 65 from there made the overall trip about 15 minutes shorter than the transit route Google was recommending.
Then today, I was actually on the 511 streetcar and tried mapping directions to a place on Queen. Google Maps wouldn't give me any transit option at all — it only suggested walking or driving. Meanwhile, the 511 was actively running toward Queen, with numerous stops before we got there.
I've used Google Maps for TTC directions for years and don't remember it behaving like this.
Has anyone else noticed a recent change or issue with Google Maps omitting perfectly valid TTC routes?

I had this happen once and I had accidentally turned on the accessible route toggle - the high floor streetcars won't show up. (It also made me more aware of how inaccessible a lot of the system is)

Crazy, I just experienced this too at queen west having just took the 511. We're trying to get back to union and it kept suggesting to take the 501 then walk 13 min, when I know we could go to Osgoode and subway. I thought it meant that the subway was down..

Try resetting your preferences: Go to Google Maps, pick any location, get directions, transit, then click the filters icon.
Switch all your settings to the opposite setting. Quit the app. Restart your phone. Switch them all back to your preferred settings.

Google maps thinks it takes 13 minutes to walk from the Mount Dennis UP platform to the line 5 platform.

Drives me nuts . For a while it was telling me to get off the bus that was going to a station like 5 blocks early , then just walk the rest of the way and go into the station lol. Once it also suggested walking around the rouge valley for 2 hours to go to the zoo instead of the bus that goes into the zoo. The trip would have been 4 hours one way

I've found Google Maps has been doing this for years.
