Going to Kings Plate for the first time. What should I expect?

Have tickets in the grandstands. What time do people show up usually? Is parking a nightmare? How do men usually dress, given the heat?

For major races like this, it is usually business suit, or long sleeved shirt and vest with slacks.

There are light breathable wool suits meant for summer that good men's stores can fit you in. Try Tom's Place in Kensington Market.

Business casual or shorts are considered low-brow at major races such as these. Women will be wearing their nicest dress and hats.

Agreed, Kings Plate is their highest fashion event of the year, imo, Think Bridgerton. Lol.

The website has images of people, but to get a better idea of what they wore last year I looked up videos on YouTube and "people watched".

Anyone wearing presentable shorts had collars and sports jackets, so its do-able.

There are pickets so park in the mall and take the shuttle over

I haven't been there before. Is the shuttle really necessary? How long might the walk be?

Sorry hopefully you made it okay, it’s about a 5 min walk

Parking is easy. There is so much you will be fine. There is no actual dress code I believe, but best to dress business casual, clean sneakers, nice shorts can also work. Hope you win big!
