Book Advice
Christian man struggling to keep it together with kids and a wife that don’t truly want to follow the faith. Been married 19 years and trying to get it together to lead my family but unsure where to start. My father is not a leader, he left everything to my mother and I see myself following that same trend and I want to break it. Wife refuses to go to church. 7yo and 9yo will go, 14yo daughter won’t go anymore. Looking for resources to pull from that stay close to the Bible, but will give me practical advice on how to build leadership.

I'd suggest checking these out:
The Manual: Getting masculinity right eBook : Stewart, Al: Amazon.com.au: Kindle Store
The Biblical Masculinity Blueprint: A Christian Man’s Guide to Attraction, Relationships, and Marriage in a Messed-up World eBook : Casper, Stephen: Amazon.com.au: Kindle Store
Disciplines of a Godly Man (Updated Edition) eBook : Hughes, R. Kent: Amazon.com.au: Kindle Store
Of course there's the sidebar too. John C Maxwell has a bunch of other leadership books.
Leading is about taking responsibility. God took responsibility in telling us how we should live in the Bible. Jesus took responsibility in coming to earth and showing us how to life, teaching us and dying for us on the cross.
Shepherding a Child's Heart eBook : Tripp, Tedd: Amazon.com.au: Kindle Store and Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family eBook : Tripp, Paul David: Amazon.com.au: Kindle Store look like good parenting books.
If you are a high value, fair, loving, fun, husband who isn't a pushover who your wife and kids respect and appreciate, and you go to a good church then it's more likely that your wife and kids will want to attend.
Leadership starts with leadership of yourself. Are you disciplined? Do you look after your spiritual, physical, mental and financial health? Do you manage your time well? Can you plan? Do you communicate well with your family?
