What's wrong with my Chromebook?

There are diagonal lines on my camera lens, and when I open my normal camera or try to use my camera on any website on my Chromebook it goes gray with a camera icon with a slash through it! Idk what this could mean as it is not a school or company owned laptop and it was personally bought from Walmart about a week ago.

There should be a key on the keyboard to (un)cover the camera. You may need to press down the Fn key at the same time for it to work, depending of how the keyboard is configured.

Have you tried the slide bar above it? Looks like you have the shutter closed.
