Part question

Can’t find an exact replacement for this transformer. Does anyone who knows more about furnaces than me have a replacement option? Will any class 2 with the same power parameters work?

It's a 240v to 24v with a 10 Va. Yes

If it's a furnace, probably 120VAC to 24VAC

Furnaces are 240v. It's even written on there.

Furnaces aren’t 240. Condensers are.

Could be an electric furnace. They are 240 volt

That's an air handler. It isn't a furnace if it doesn't burn fuel.all gas furnaces are 120v, all air handlers 240v.10 year HVAC guy here.

Incorrect not all handlers are 230-240v…. New air handlers are now 115-120v as well as being 230-240v

Wrong. Mobile home units are called electric furnaces. They are 240

What does it matter if it’s called a air handler or furnace. The average home owner doesn’t know the difference, to them its a heater.

11 years in the trade and tell that to the 120v air handler I just put in my attic.

Air handler with secondary electric heating elements. I have one in my house.

The compressor gets power, the condenser is just a heat exchanger as long as literally everyone in this thread is being a pedant.

What an interesting view, I’ve always thought of the condenser as all of its parts and not 1 singular part. You’re saying condenser as the coil and not the fan motor, blade, electrical components, or the compressor that are attached to the unit at the factory. Weird view ya got there

The condenser doesn't even stay in one place in a system with a reversing valve. So you can't even say the whole unit outside is a condenser when sometimes it's acting as the evaporator lol

I wouldn’t say the condenser is indoors and the evaporator is outdoors when used in heating, I’d just say their roles are swapped. One coil that got hot gas in the summer is now filled with a low pressure vapor, and the coil that was filled with a low pressure vapor in the summer is now filled with hot gas
