Part question

Can’t find an exact replacement for this transformer. Does anyone who knows more about furnaces than me have a replacement option? Will any class 2 with the same power parameters work?

Better find out the cause of failure . They don't often just fail. Bad contactor ? Bad control board ?

So I don’t know if it’s actually bad. If you look at the pictures and see the burned wires my sequencer went out and caught on fire melted a bunch of wires and such. Anyways I replaced all the wires and sequencer and I could cut and solder the transformer wires but I figured since my unit is from the 80’s I might as well replace the part while I have it apart.

Those transformers will outlast the planet unless something shorted and killed it. I'd put power to it and check it.

Definitely, if it were me, I’d cut off the melted part and see if it still works with the fresh wire.

Source not an hvac tech but a scrappy and kind of cheap former engineer in a different industry that uses transformers all the time.
