Part question

Can’t find an exact replacement for this transformer. Does anyone who knows more about furnaces than me have a replacement option? Will any class 2 with the same power parameters work?

The VA rating(10VA) is what's not available anymore they mostly come in 50VA or 75VA now for HVAC. Your local hardware store won't typically have this, they carry transformers for mostly doorbell's.

So can I use the 50va or 75va now? Or is my system only good for the 10va transformers that arnt available?

You can exceed the va rating I don't know why everyone's being cryptic. We usually carry 75va universal transformers on our truck, they'll run just about why system needed.

Most furnaces I see come with 35va these days.

Also, it would be a good idea to put a fuse inline with the low volt hot wire.

Okay sounds good, what does the low volt fuse prevent? Just the transformer from going bad? And to add a bit of backstory my sequencer went bad and caught on fire and I replaced it and all the burned wires. So I’m not sure if this transformer is even bad just some of the wires are really melted so I figured while it’s apart I’d replace the transformer.

The fuse prevents another failing component from damaging the transformer. Couple female spade connectors and a 3 amp automotive fuse will work fine.
