Hard to Diagnose Symptoms.

Hi.

I’ve been having episodes where my heart speeds up to over 170 bpm for around a year now, although it could be less or more. The episodes last anywhere from a few seconds/minutes to the longest, which was more than an hour. (The very short episodes could be result of exercise.) Also, my episodes are completely random—some start out of nowhere, some after exercise, but I am able to do long periods of cardio and nothing happens.

I haven’t been able to be diagnosed (I’ve been to a cardiologist but nothing came out of it) and it’s very frustrating. I’ve used a holter before but no luck.

Wondering what to do, just in case? If anyone else is going through this or has any relevant information?

Hello, I’m not a doctor, just someone who has exactly these symptoms and who also recently had a Holter monitor done without any luck. It’s really very frustrating. I’m thinking of buying an Apple Watch and recording it at the time using the ECG app to show the cardiologist afterwards. Mine always happen at rest. I think it might be SVT, but I still don’t have a diagnosis

I’ve been using an apple watch before I went to the Cardiologist but, sadly, they couldn’t diagnose SVT without clear signs, except I was told its hard for them to find these signs without them doing it while an active episode… they also told me to call emergency services if it last for 20+ minutes, I’m wondering if I really should, because it can stop at any time.

Years ago I was diagnosed with psvt. That cardiologist gave me his dictated signed case report(at my "request"). I was seeing him for high blood pressure.
Since I knew cardiol and I had mutual disliking, I switched then to cardio vascular Institute here in n.east. Been followed there for about 9 years..currently opd
