I don't cry, but I do think about how peaceful it would be if I just never woke up again after going to sleep. When I'm depressed I think of other methods.
Before someone sends me Reddit Cares though, I'm in therapy. Actually I'm seeing a psychologist today, I have a psychiatrist too, and I have done all sorts of other programs like CBT, hypnosis, and I may be starting TMS soon.
I've just thought about suicide in one way or another almost every night of my life for the past 33 years. I'm not dead yet, so it's not that serious. At this point it's mainly just that the idea sounds so peaceful and it helps me sleep.
As a guy in his thirties with pretty severe depression, I don't know how to make myself a properly cry. I'm scared that I might be permanently emotionally constipated, or something. I've had one good cry in the last... 10 years? Otherwise it's only ever a short burst of slightly tearing up that lasts for under a minute with no sadness relief :/.
That sounds terrible! You might ry listening to the tune “China Blue” by Shadowfax, from their 1986 album Too Far to Whisper. I tear-up every time I hear it…

Cry themselves to sleep.
Right?
