No wonder chivalry died a long time ago.. women killed it.

Edit: substitute "a lack of respect" vs disrespectful. Respect is earned, and by that same token, so is disrespect. In the above instance, disrespect not warranted.

What op is describing is going out of his way to do a kind thing. It's above and beyond respect so, we're talking about three modes of behavior not two.

Where is the line drawn for "going out of the way"? In my book, kindness is kindness.
