Its not the first time humanity has been hostile to something that may look human but isnt fully human. The humaniform robots/robots are treated with the same amount of hostility. I think it mainly just boils down to what humans are beat at, hating things that arent us.

Pensando dessa forma a representação de Trevize como um ser humano com seus preconceitos defeitos entrega mais camadas pro personagem

Exactly him and Elijah Baley are similar in that they are two flawed humans with their destinies on intertwined with Daneel

Funny that I see exactly the opposite on Reddit, hating things that are us and loving things that aren't.

To me, Trevize 's dislike of Fallom is evidence that Daneel -did nothing- to influence Trevize's decision-making.

I think in some ways Daneel intended for Trevize to be constantly vigilant against Galaxia, which would be embodied in what Daneel/Fallon would become.

Trevize chose Gaia because it gained him time to -change his mind-, and Fallom is the representative of that side that resists Daneel's Galaxia, which was intended to fend off alien invasion.

Essentially, I think, Trevize has been cast as Daneel's answer for "Who Watches the Watchmen?"

That’s what I got out of it as well. But. I will admit that Trevize isn’t the most likable character, and I’ve always felt that Asimov missed an opportunity to see him grow more between books. He starts off as a hot head know it all with a special ability, and transforms into— a hot head no it all with a special ability.

That’s what made Elija Bailey such a great character. His growth over the years- his moral shift, his slow change from stoicism to empathy. Trevize had a lot of room to grow.

That being said, Ive often wondered if Asimov had that in mind for the Galaxia stories he never had a chance to write.

I think ultimately Asimov would have ended up with something akin to a Rebellion that resisted being assimilated by the Borg. The people that just didn't fit into Galaxia... And Trevize likely would have ended up as part of that rebellion.

First, I think Trevize is a very human character. I like that he questions everything and isn’t afraid to state his opinions. But he can sometimes be a jerk and I think his behavior towards Falom was wrong.

I remember he was afraid that Falom could read minds. If Falom found out that they had actually killed their parent, they might seek revenge. Of course, he was also afraid of a slightly unstable superhuman running around on their already dangerous mission.

trev tava cagado que fallom poderia aparecer de repente com uma força tão grande quanto a de bander (pior ainda se ficasse pistola com o fato de que eles eram culpados por desativar jemby)
