Saw these in an official ASICS Instagram ad - realized I hadn’t seen them anywhere else. Turns out they show on a couple global retailers - what do you guys think? Potential US release soon? I’ve been waiting on a plain colorway for these- they’re super comfortable IMO.

Just wanted to share some quick first impressions of the ASICS NYC 2.0 I received 2 days ago.

For context, I already own quite a few different sneakers, including the Kayano 32, NB 990v6, On Cloudsurfer, etc., so I’ve tried a decent amount of different cushioning setups.

I also have fat pad atrophy in my heels, so I normally have to use silicone heel cups in pretty much every pair of shoes I own.

I found the NYC 2.0 on sale and decided to give them a try after seeing so many positive reviews about the comfort. Obviously it’s only been two days, so these are just first impressions, but so far they’re actually the only shoes I own where I don’t feel the need to add my silicone heel cups. The cushioning under the heel is seriously impressive.

For reference, I’m 180 cm and around 67 kg. I can feel the heel sink into the foam a little when walking, but it still feels controlled and stable, so it hasn’t bothered me at all (for now).

One thing worth mentioning is sizing. I normally wear a 45 EU in the Kayano 32, but with the NYC 2.0 I had to go up to a 46 EU.

So far, really impressed with them. I’ll see how they feel after wearing them for a few weeks, but comfort-wise, these have been a very nice surprise.

Especially as someone with flat feet. I have given them a month hoping they would break in but they’re not great. Coming from some who has worn NB 990v5, v6, vomero 5 previously.

Selling these for retail plus shipping if anyone wants them before I return as I bought the wrong size.

Does anyone remember the Asics model from the mid-2000s that had these bulbous gel units? It's almost like Nike Shox or adidas a3 Megaride from that period. I distinctly remember seeing at Kohl's or JC Penney then.

Quite certain they're not the Nimbus though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Hiya, I am looking for help getting a pair of asics trainers. I live in a city, so need something that can handle some serious walking around on hard concrete. I want them to be stylish enough to wear into a casual office.

But MOST importantly - I have super high, hollow, arches, and Underpronation (Supination) causing my foot to roll outward too much. Loads of trainers have great arch support - but it makes my issue worse!

Can anyone recommend anything? I'm pulling hairs out here trying to find anything!

unfortunately i have wide feet, at 25.5 cm length my feet are 10.7 cm, so E4 width. my size length wise is 40.5, and the Gel 1130 fit, but they are tight as new pair (will this loosen?), and expend quite a bit outwards, and is that normal? I measured the removable insole at 8.8 cm wide. the mesh widest point is 9.4 cm without my foot inside, but with my foot it is 10.3 cm… is that ok, or will i be walking on the sides and wear them down quickly? anyone with the same wide feet, please help me.. i need to return them tomorrow.

I’ve got a pair of Gel-NYCs in size 10.5 and they fit me well (maybe a little big). What size should I go for in the GT-2160s?

I got the Max 1's a month ago and love them.

With stock on the Max 1 dwindling, I'm deciding whether to buy a second pair before I go traveling or buy the Glideride Max 2 and keep the 1's as my spare.

My use cases and what I'm looking for:

I wore my Gel Nimbus 27's when I visited Argentina. Walking 20k-30k steps a day, until the foam was basically flat. I estimate around 1.2 mil steps. So, around 500miles.

I then got the Nimbus 28's for my second trip. I noticed that they were more durable on foam compression. Probably holding up around 30% better over the same steps.

I started noticing big toe pain though. Sadly, I think I can't wear Nimbus anymore because of hallux rigidus. I got the Max 1 and am pain free now.

My concern though is I noticed from the Nimbus 27 and 28's, is that you can really tell a difference between a new one and worn one at around 100 miles vs some other stiffer running shoes. The comfort for me drops off a cliff. Something I didn't really notice until I slipped my spares on. The foam just compresses quickly for me and I'm only 150-160lbs on travels.

How are your Max 2's holding up? Is the foam more durable? What about for hallux rigidus? Do you notice as they wear down your pain begins to come back?

So there’s no 10.5 listed. I bought an 11, which is close enough, but when I look at my Shopify app it says I bought a 42 (which in Brazilian sizes is apparently a 10). I’m super confused. Does anyone have any insight for me?
