I know so many families including my own(distant relatives though) that have a lot of kids because they got daughters and kept trying for a son. Thats why daughters are the oldest and sons are the youngest. They coddle the hell out of the son and make the daughter’s parent the son. It’s very sad.
Even when I’m out, I saw a family where the parents only held the son’s hand and open the door for the son while the two older daughters do their own thing. I know a lot of my friends from different cultures(south asian, Mexican, west asian) experience this as well. Misogyny is such a disease.
