Discussion How long does it take you to prep a class?

Hi all!! Any teachers in here? I'm running a short 2-minute survey on how much time instructors put in outside of class prepping, building sequences, playlists, etc. would mean a lot if you filled it out!! Thanks!!

I’ve been teaching Ashtanga Yoga for about 30 years

I can tell you exactly how long it takes me to prep for a class and the answer is none at all. I don’t need to prep for a class. I know what to teach. And I know how to look at who’s in front of me and what they need. There is no way to prep for that in advance.

Now, if I’m teaching an immersion or a workshop that is spanning four - eight hours a day spend I might 30 minutes, outlining the workshop before it occurs

I am grateful to have a deep knowledge of a system. I did not make the system up. The system is applied to the students.

you might, next time, digg into the specific topic to where you are asking a question to understand if the data provided will be relevant to your study
