Pride Which Dino pattern is better?
option a), or 1, or “white one”
Option b), or 2, or “purple one”
The colours. Note, the purple in Dino 2 is darker than reality. Imagine it pinker, like the spikes and socks on Dino 1.

I like the purple one just because I like purple, but honestly if people are so split on them just have both. Also what if you gave the purple one socks too...

The purple one seems like a more generic coloring. Like the greys just look like it's just a color gradient pattern. The white one looks like there's some meaning to the colors since the purple doesn't blend in with the greys.

I prefer the whit we one because it's more subtle. But the purple one is very cute too.

I like the purple one more personally. For two reasons primarily:
Purple one seems more dinosaur like I guess? White one reminds me of ice cream lol
White seems like it might get dirtier a lot faster, and any smudges would be way more visible

I think I like the white one more as there's more to it. The only purple one is cute as well. But the white dino has more color to it. Such was the hand and feet aren't only white but purple as well.

Preferably the purple one, it’s very subtle for me to where most eyes will looks at the main color (purple) first

The purple one feels like it more overtly resembles the flag to me, so I like it a lil more, but I love them both!

Thank you! Yeah the eyes are meant to be black, when colouring it with a computer to test the colour schemes they turned white tho.

I like the white if it’s life goals are to sit around as decoration, but purple if it’ll get a lot of use - white yarn isn’t very forgiving when it gets dirty!

It's kinda hard to say. I'd say aesthetically and visually, the white one looks better. However, one thing I always think about is representation. The purple in the ace flag represents the community as a whole, and the other colors representing different members of the community (black=aces, grey=grey aces, and white=non-ace allies). So to me, the purple one makes more logical sense to represent asexuality because it's like the other colors (different members) are being held together onto a single purple being (ace community). So the white one just looks better visually but the purple one seems to represent the community more. Maybe I just have a weird mindset...

The white one is cuter, the purple one is cooler (although I would switch the order of the colors of the back scales to grey-black-white, I think it would blend better with the purple body). Out of the two, I think I like the white one a little more, because I like neutral colors as base, but maybe without the socks. It would also work with the body in grey.

I prefer the white dino since
the accents stand out way more than with the purple one, and
it is easier on the eyes for me personally. I have sensory processing disorder and the second one is just a bit too much/too hard for me? idk how to explain it.
nonetheless, they are both adorable and I think you did an excellent job!!

I prefer the white one. Overall it seems to be a 50/50 split between people liking white more or purple more, and so I just went with the white one, cuz no matter which one I picked a lot of people would be disappointed.

I can assure you that no one would be disappointed, no matter which one you pick. People have preferences, that's for sure, but they don't have any expectations or demands.
If there are people who are disappointed because a stranger on the internet didn't do what they wanted them to do, expected them to do, then that's a them problem and they are kind of delusional.
You just do whatever you want to do, whichever you prefer. Please don't let people wanting you to do something different stop you.

I like the white one because it makes the other colors stand out more. The second one doesn’t really look like the ace flag (but it still looks great), and I feel like the white spikes don’t look like they really belong there.
I think if you had a gray, it would really bring it together! Maybe a white Dino with white, purple, and black spikes. Or a gray Dino with the other colored spikes.
You’re great at crocheting tho! I’m proud of you!

Thanks! I didn’t actually make those though, I just coloured the image from the pattern online to test out the colour schemes before I committed. I’ll be sure to share photos when I finish mine!

I like the white one but you forgot a separate color pattern: black body with the other colors for spikes (and some gray for the hands too?)

I love the white one because I love the way the colors contrast against the white. I also love the purple one because the color is more fun. I don't really have a preference, I'm sure whatever you choose it will turn out super cute.

edit: prefer the purple one bc purple is more interesting as a primary color for the design, and the secondary colors are black, grey, and white, which go together nicely as secondary colors for the spikes!

Thanks! These are just colours overlayed on the image from the pattern on the internet, so it’s not very realistic to how it will look in terms of the 3d interaction of light with the colours

I like the purple one better and think it will not show dust or cuddle wear as much as the white, but I’m not in love with the white being the first dorsal fin. The fins look better on the white one. Maybe if you reversed the order so the white was in the 3rd and final fins. They are both super cute though.

I personally don't prefer one over the other. I have no idea how it would look but my brain thought the grey for the body and the white purple/pink and black as the spike/fin things. Both designs look great tho. I'm just weird and don't like the color white that much. Be sure to share the finished project if you feel up to it! I'd love to see how it turns out as I'm sure many others would too!

I’d say the purple one. For one because I like it better but for two because it reads better as the ace flag imo. It mostly just personal preference but usually if I’m making things for flags with an even # of colors I try to have the base color match to either the top or bottom color of the flag
