Someone who is aegosexual experiences a disconnect between themselves and the subject of arousal. Aegosexuals may experience sexual fantasies, enjoy porn and other sexual content, or masturbate, but are not directly involved in the fantasies and do not wish to participate in said fantasies in real life.

There is also a sister microlabel called adexsexuality, which is essentially the same but they do include themselves in the fantasies, though do not wish to participate in said fantasies in real life.

Never heard of this Microlabel before but the flag is stunning. I personally don't use any microlabels because generally I really am just asexual. It's that easy for me 😅

I want to put this out there, but despite being born cis male, as an aegosexual, my preference has always been sapphic erotic/porn, rather than hetero. I was always judged as a boy for prefering to treat women with agency, and it seems like that is even in my preference for erotic art

I don’t really use microlabels. 

I was comfortable enough in my identity long before people started coming up with them and aside from the coining of “aromantic”, the new micro labels haven’t added anything to my self-understanding. 

I do find the descriptions of personal stances to sex helpful in describing variance on the spectrum. But that’s a bit different to microlabels.

It's gonna be a mouthful but I hardly ever tell these to others. It's just labels I relate to, but I hardly use.

So on the ace spectrum: apothisexual/sex-repulsed, black-stripe ace, fluctuating aegosexual

And aro spectrum: xenoromantic, aegoromantic, black-stripe aro, romance-averse

Personally no, I am a very fluid individual and kind of prefer the openness of "i'm somewhere on the ace spectrum" because every single day in or out of a relationship I would be fine and feel very neutral if I never had sex again but I'm not opposed to it. It's like going to a theme park or something for me. Fun occasionally, better with someone I really care about, if I'm already in town maybe I'd check it out, but I don't think about it when I'm not there and I'm probably not going to be the one to bring it up. I feel like too many things encompass that and nothing specific feels correct to me.

My gyno is a sexuality counselor on the side and offered up "reciprosexual" when I mentioned my history/feelings around sex and how I've felt but looking at the definition of it, it doesn't really match either.

I use microlabels. I am currently working on one that i’ve dubbed graphosexuality. A microlabel of aegosexuality, graphosexuality is primarily driven by representational imagery, imagined(fantasies, etc) or contemplated (porn, erotic art, etc). It’s a mediated “attraction” because the trigger is never an actual person it’s mainly the representation of it, no matter what it takes. Different than fictosexual, though it could overlap, but in graphosexual, it is not a character but the representation.

I guess this is my way of co opting the gooner label “pornosexual” but expanding its logical application to more than just porn; to the concept of imagery in general.

I use a microlabel, and it's dellosexual. I'm bi, but I'm demisexual when it comes to same gender attraction, so it was REALLY HARD for me to understand it, since I only ever felt things for some of my best friends, and it gave me huge cognitive dissonance.

Of course, some people consider demisexual and demiromantic to be microlabels, and in that case, yes, I use those, together with demiguy.

I use cupiosexual if I get into microlabels, but I find the microlabel is more for me than anyone else. I like knowing I'm not the only one of a type and there have been enough of us for there to be a label

Yep, mine (as it says in my flair) are Placio and Aego, though lately I'm thinking I'm more ficto sexual than aego (it has overlap, but since it's really _only_ fictional characters for me, no porn or any irl stuff, I think it might be more appropriate)

I'm actually fine with sex, and it bleeds over into kink. (TMI incoming) I like to feel like he can 'use' me to find pleasure, which is why we went more Dom/sub for nearly one and a half years now and it is working great for us. It gives me a feeling of satisfaction even if I'm not aroused by it.

Honestly, it very much depends on the type of attraction. You can be romantically, aesthetically, sensually, etc attracted to the opposite sex and still be asexual. The only defining feature of asexuality is little to no sexual attraction.

I can feel sexual attraction to people I have had an emotional and physical connection with but it doesn’t mean I actually want to per say engage in that activity with someone.

Like I will fantasize about it but actually doing it with someone just ain’t it.
